The hip-hop community is mourning the loss of platinum-selling rapper Rich Homie Quan, who tragically passed away at his Atlanta home on Thursday. His family and a representative from the Fulton County morgue confirmed the news.
Devastated by the sudden loss, Quan’s family shared their heartbreak with TMZ Hip Hop. While the official cause of death remains under investigation, speculation has centered around a possible drug overdose.
Emerging from the Atlanta rap scene in 2013, Quan quickly gained notoriety with his infectious hit, “Type of Way.” He followed up with fan-favorite tracks like “Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh)” and “Ride Out.”
Quan’s talent led him to collaborate with Young Thug on the Cash Money Records project, “Rich Gang,” and he frequently joined forces with his hometown peers, 2 Chainz and Jacquees.
