Lisa Marie Presley’s Memoir Reveals Intimate Details of Michael Jackson Relationship

Lisa Marie Presley’s posthumous memoir, From Here to the Great Unknown, offers a candid glimpse into her romantic relationship with the late pop icon, Michael Jackson.

The two, who first met as children, reconnected in 1994. Presley was still married to Danny Keough at the time, but their relationship began to unravel after Jackson confessed his love for her during a trip to Las Vegas.

“Michael said, ‘I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but I’m completely in love with you. I want us to get married and for you to have my children,'” Presley writes in the memoir, released on October 8th. “I didn’t say anything immediately, but then I said, ‘I’m really flattered, I can’t even talk.’ By then, I felt I was in love with him too.”
Following this revelation, Presley and Keough amicably divorced, and she entered into a relationship with Jackson.
According to Presley, Jackson disclosed that he was still a virgin. “I think he had kissed Tatum O’Neal, and he’d had a thing with Brooke Shields, which hadn’t been physical apart from a kiss,” she writes. “He said Madonna had tried to hook up with him once, too, but nothing happened. I was terrified because I didn’t want to make the wrong move.”
The couple married in May 1994, just weeks after Presley’s divorce from Keough. Their union lasted for over two years before they finalized their divorce in August 1996.
