Pop star Joe Jonas is reportedly upset by his ex-wife Sophie Turner’s recent social media display of affection for her new boyfriend, Peregrine Pearson.
Sources close to Jonas claim Turner’s gushing birthday tribute for Pearson felt like a “slap in the face” considering the couple’s recent divorce. Jonas filed for divorce in September 2023, just a month before Turner was spotted with Pearson in Paris.
Their split, finalized last month, followed a year of legal wrangling, particularly regarding custody of their two young daughters.
While Turner publicly declared her love for Pearson, calling him her “angel pie,” Jonas’ friends believe the timing is insensitive.
“It’s strange that she went public with her new love so soon,” one source said.
Turner’s new beau comes from a wealthy lineage – his family owns a significant portion of a media empire.
While both Jonas and Turner have moved on romantically, a second source claims Jonas anticipates “more pettiness” from Turner in the future. Despite the animosity, Jonas reportedly wants to maintain a positive co-parenting relationship with Turner for the sake of their children.
