HBO Confirms Euphoria Season 3 is Still on Track

Recent rumors swirling around the future of the hit HBO series Euphoria have been officially dispelled by the network. Despite speculation about potential cast and crew departures, HBO has confirmed that the show’s third season is still in production and on schedule for a 2025 release.

“Euphoria is going into production in 2025. Nothing has changed,” a representative for HBO stated to The Independent.

The show, created by Sam Levinson, has garnered critical acclaim and a massive following, particularly among younger audiences. The series, starring Emmy-winning Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, and Sydney Sweeney, has launched the careers of its cast members to new heights.

While the cast has been busy with other projects, including Zendaya’s roles in Dune: Part Two and Challengers, Elordi’s appearances in Priscilla and Saltburn, and Sweeney’s leading role in Anyone But You, HBO executive Casey Bloys has assured fans that the core cast will return for the upcoming season.

Levinson has shared his vision for the third season, revealing that it will be set around five years after the events of season two and will adopt a film noir style. The focus will be on Zendaya’s character, Rue, as she navigates a more mature and complex world.

The delay in production for season three can be attributed to the 2023 writers’ and actors’ strikes, as well as the tragic passing of actor Angus Cloud. However, HBO remains committed to bringing the highly anticipated new season to viewers in 2025.
